WHAT WE BELIEVE........
The optimal design for a building is a balance of aesthetics, economics, and function. The influence of each will vary by project, but all require detailed and open minded consideration from first principles, not driven by an agenda or fashion.
A building is an integral part of it's social and physical environment in the widest sense. It may blend in unobtrusively, or make a bold statement, but it must be sensitive to it's environment, be capable of adapting to change, and maintain its appearance and functionality over extended periods of time.
At Designshop client and designer work together with open communication, setting goals, and evaluating solutions. We actively seek client comments and wishes, and often work side by side in front of the screen.
This may seem rather old fashioned in a world driven by faddish fashion and consumerism, but we believe these principles have stood the test of time.
